Hi everyone!! My name is Myah Zuniga and I am a sophomore here at Converse University. I also play a sport here at converse. I was born in Fresno California. I have grown up living in California but I have also lived in Mexico. My music genre is very wide, Im not picky when it comes to my music all all. My favorite song of all time. I couldn't really pick a song that I like right now so I just picked my favorite song. This song always gets played in the car on my way to anywhere. I guess you can say this song is my comfort song. This song also reminds of my friends from back home, me and my friends have always played this song especially through out my senior year.

A song with meaning- Corre by jessie y joy
This song that will forever have meaning to my heart. When I lived in Sinaloa with my mom and her side of the family this was the first song I learned in Spanish. At the time this was my Tias favorite song and she was always play it in the car. Even tho this song is about heartbreak. After a while this song became our song and was played everyday. Since I have moved back to California I still listen to that song everyday.

A song I dislike- the emptiness machine by LINKIN PARK
I am a person who listens to everything Im not really picky with the music I listen to, it depends on my mood. however a music genre I don't listen to is rock music. Rock music has never been my vibe, don't get me wrong there might be two to three songs Ive heard and Im okay with but I would never play in my car or for anyone who asked me to play a song. There are PLENTY of other songs I much rather listen to. And to be completely honest, I don't even know this song. I just looked up recent rock music and got this song.

Myah: I haven't really heard of any of your songs but when I listen to them I really enjoyed them and would totally listen to them. I completely agree that about not listening to rock music its definitely not my favorite either.
ReplyDeletemyah! You for sure put me onto Dreams, Fairytales, Fantasies by A$SP Ferg . I don't normally listen to this type of music unless I'm with friends/teammates. But I can def see myself playing this when I'm on a late night drive! I love how chill it is and the beat. I thought your song Corre by jessie y joy was interesting because of how slow it is. Just based on your personality, I wouldn't think you would like songs that lowkey.
ReplyDeleteHi Myah! I enjoyed listening to this song, specifically the second one “Corre” by Jesse and Joy. That one was the most interesting and the one I liked the most. I have listened to it before and the lyrics have a great impact even though it is not the first time I listened to it. Most of the songs I like are in Spanish and for sure I am going to add this one to my playlist because I have not listened in a long time until I saw your blog.

I like how you connected it to learning Spanish and how it became a special memory with your family, that made it really interesting to me. Out of your three songs, Dreams, Fairytales, Fantasies by A$AP Ferg was my favorite because I like how you described it as a comfort song and how it reminds you of your friends. Even though you didn’t enjoy the Linkin Park track, I thought it was interesting to see your perspective on rock music and how it doesn’t fit your vibe.

Talking to you, I would not have thought you liked these music choices but I especially love your connection to Corre by Jessie y Joy! Hearing how you first learned it in Spanish is so cool and the connection to your Tia is amazing and heartfelt. I love that you still listen to it everyday, that is so special!
ReplyDeleteHey Myah, I definitely loved all of your song choices! One that I found interesting was that you picked Linkin Park for your dislike. I just think it is interesting cause I have met people who say they don't like rock music but still enjoy listening to Linkin Park. The song I like the most is also the Linkin Park song. I have a good friend who also enjoys listening to them and so it has just made our connection stronger.
